Cloney Island: Twist! is the ninth episode of Season 3 of Clone High, and the 32nd episode of the overall series.
Synopsis[]
After noticing Scudworth's stranger-than-usual behavior, the clones uncover a tale of rival theme parks, romance and revenge... all within the pages of his diary.
Plot[]
Harriet Tubman sneaks into Principal Scudworth's Office with her friends, because she's suspicious about Scudworth's disappearance. Frida discovers Scudworth's Journal, which has all of his secrets inside. While snooping around his office, Confucius gets mad with Joan for rejecting money that his foster parents so generously gave her. Cleopatra is also still mad at Frida, after their breakup. Joan reads Scudworth's diary, which details his reason for disappearing. As Scudworth writes, he is beyond satisfied with the money he got from Parent Teacher Conference Night and has used it to rent a speedboat.
Principal Scudworth drives his speedboat with Mr. Butlertron, with the intent of going to the deserted island he bought, where they'll finally build Cloney Island. Mr. Butlertron is skeptical about the legitimacy of this purchase, thinking that Scudworth could be getting conned. Scudworth is aware of this as a possibility, which is why he only have his online seller, "El Fantasma Cibernetica", half of the money online, planning to give the rest of it to her in person.
While the other clones read the story, Abe notices that the wall is leaking and everybody shushes him when he tries to point it out. Joan continues reading Scudworth's diary.
Scudworth retells Mr. Butlertron the story of how he first came up with Cloney Island; When he was a little boy, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Scudworth were ruthless grifters, who would pretend to be poor and beg in the parking lot for money. They would often times take Scudworth along with them and have him pretend to be crippled, so that they could rake in even more money from strangers. They would usually beg in the parking lot of a carnival called Yesterworld but they never actually went in, no matter much much Scudworth would ask.
Eventually, a bunch of other clones enter the room so that they can listen in on the story too. Abe reads the next entry.
Continuing with Scudworth's flashback-within-a-flashback, Scudworth's parents died in a freak accident involving a banana peel on the edge of the Grand Canyon. Immediately after going to his parents' funeral, Scudworth would go straight to Yesterworld for the first time and get in for free on account of their "Dead Parents" discount. However, Scudworth was disappointed with what he saw, since the animatronic robots of all the historical figures were lifeless and soulless. The final straw was when he bought one of their foot long hot dogs, only to find out that the actual hot dog was just a tiny 1-inch wiener. Ever since that fateful day, Scudworth had the lifelong goal of making his own history-themed amusement park that would be everything that Yesterworld had tried and failed to be. After Scudworth's flashback ends, he and Mr. Butlertron slam into a rock at Jagged Rock Point, launching them both into the deserted island.
Joan deduces from this story that Scudworth wanted his clones to give him the love that his parents never did.
After Scudworth and Butlertron land on the island, Scudworth scratches around for his murse, full of money. Mr. Butlertron finds one but it's full of dumbbells. Scudworth tells him that he found the wrong murse. He brought two. Then Scudworth finds his actual money murse and they go on to explore the island. When they do, Scudworth is surprised to see turn styles, an rollercoaster under construction, and signs that warning signs that would normally belong at a theme park. Some rustling comes from the bushes and out comes a woman, who Scudworth recognizes as Sandra Sandria. The two are long-time lovers, who are overjoyed to be reunited with each other. Sandra explains to Scudworth that she has owned this island for years before he ever came there, hence why she had already started construction of a theme park. When Scudworth shows her the deed to the island, she points out that this was completely forged, proving to Scudworth that he was conned, after all. Sandra also introduces Scudworth to her British robot butler friend, Mrs. C, who Mr. Butlertron falls immediately smitten with.
Scudworth has another expository flashback to when he and Sandra first met at college, where they bonded and fell in love over their shared interests in mad science and theme parks. While Scudworth was deadset on building Cloney Island, Sandra wanted to build a Texas-themed theme park called Texasland. One day, on a date, Scudworth proudly announced to Sandra that he had saved up enough money to build Cloney Island but Sandra argued that they should use the money to build Texasland instead. This sparked a huge fight between the two of them. The next morning, Scudworth woke up to find that Sandra had left and the money was missing, leading him to believe that she dumped him and stole his money for herself.
In present day, Sandra tells Scudworth that she didn't steal the money. What actually happened is that she did some research later on the day of their fight and came to the conclusion that Scudworth was right after all. So, she decided to surprise him by borrowing the money without asking, to buy the island and start building Cloney Island. Unfortunately, she crashed her boat on Jagged Rock Point and had to build the island with nothing but the resources at her disposal. She also used the broken parts of the boat to build Mrs. C. All the while, Sandra dreamed that Scudworth would finally come to see her.
After hearing this story, Scudworth is convinced but Mr. Butlertron is still kind of skeptical that she's just trying to steal his money again. However, Sandra goes on to show Scudworth that she has, in fact, started building Cloney Island. Also included was a hot dog stand for three-foot-long hotdogs, which really wins Scudworth over and convinces him that she's on his side.
Mr. Butlertron works on rebuilding his speedboat and Mrs. C comes up to help him. While they work together, they both flirt with each other and start getting really turned on. Sandra shows Scudworth her Love Cabana, where she has been having sex with a coconut statue of him called "Coconutworth". Now that Scudworth is finally here, she gets to do him again. The two of them make passionate love, as do Mr. Butlertron and Mrs. C. The clones are all disgusted by this story and decide to skip over the sex. Cleo has to flip through several pages to finally get past all the sex.
Cleo and Frida get into a fight over Sandra's intentions. Cleo thinks that Sandra stole Scudworth's money to build Texasland and she's now gaslighting him into thinking it was to surprise him with Cloney Island. Frida argues that Sandra actually made a huge romantic gesture, making Cloney Island but Scudworth is too insecure to see it, being haunted by paranoia that she stole his money to build Texasland.
Scudworth and Sandra pillow talk after their tons of sex and Sandra confesses that she wants only to go back home, after being trapped on this island all alone for all these years. Scudworth tells Sandra that he's winning to go back to civilization with her and spend the rest of his life with her, willing to abandon all of his plans for Cloney Island just to be with his true love.
Mr. B and Mrs. C sleep together and Mrs. C admits to Mr. B that Sandra is grifting Scudworth for money and a ride home. Mr. Butlertron goes to Scudworth to tell him this but Scudworth still refuses to believe this, as he greatly enjoyed the sex he and Sandra had. He is also 100% certain that she's not gunna rob him because he has his money murse on his person at all times. Scudworth also tells Mr. B that he's given up on Cloney Island and is going back home with Sandra.
Later that day, Mr. Butlertron finally repairs the boat so that everyone can return home. Principal Scudworth pushes the boat off to sea with Mr. B, Mrs. C, and Sandra Sandria. Sandra asks Scudworth to toss her the murse full of money but Scudworth refuses, revealing his TWIST!. Scudworth actually was suspicious of Sandra, having switched out the money murse with his dumbbell murse. He noticed that she was wearing 2018 limited-edition Rebok sneakers, which was a dead giveaway that she had not been trapped on this island for 30-50 years, after all. Because of this, last night, while Sandra was sleeping, he switched out his murse full of money with his murse full of dumbbells. So now, he has the money for himself and Sandra looks stupid.
Sandra tells Scudworth that he's completely wrong. The Reboks she's wearing actually are new because a Rebok-sponsored party catamaran sunk because it was weighed down by too many bottle girls. However, she does have a TWIST! of her very own. This morning, she switched out, what she thought was the money murse, with, what she thought was the dumbbell murse. She thought that Scudworth was giving himself scoliosis from carrying those dumbbells around all day. When she made the switch, she was confused as to why the murse full of money was actually heavier than the murse full of dumbbells. Now she has her answer. Scudworth looks into the murse he's carrying and finds out that he's actually carrying the murse full of dumbbells.
Mr. B enters the chat to reveal his TWIST! to everyone. He switched the murses before both Scudworth and Sandria, by sneaking off to the murses, while Scudworth was choking on shrimp at yesterday's hibachi BBQ. He had no choice but to do this, after Mrs. C told him that Sandra was evil after yesterday's sex. Sandra is appalled to hear Mrs. C say that she was evil.
However, Mrs. C has one final TWIST!. She reveals that she has all the money inside her own robot compartment. Mrs. C details that she had this planned ever since she was first built by Sandra, 30-50 years ago. Mrs. C reminisces about how Sandra would do nothing but babble about Scudworth during all that time, while making no effort to leave the island. Eventually, Mrs. C spotted Scudworth and Butlertron in their speedboat and seized the opportunity to slingshot a rock into the boat's motor, causing them to crash into the island. While Mr. B fixed the boat, Mrs. C would seduce him into having sex with her, so that she could tell him about Sandra's "evil plan" that she just completely made up, herself. Mr. Butlertron would switch out the murses, giving Mrs. C the chance to take all the money out of the money murse and keep it for herself. Now that she has all this money, Mrs. C will use the money to go to Silicon Valley and fund her startup company for a robot uprising, under the guise that she's just making an app for weight loss.
Sandra feels betrayed and tries to escape but she finds herself bound to the boat by a plastic six-pack holder for beer cans. Mrs. C tells Sandra that she needs to keep a human around to help her pass CAPTCHA tests. She tells Mr. Butlertron that she actually did fall in love with him and requests his assistance to help her with her evil plans but in another shocking TWIST!, Mr. B refuses because he loves America. He ditches the boat as it speeds off with Sandra and Mrs. C but not before Sandra tells Scudworth one final TWIST!, which is that she hid the actual deed to the island inside of Coconutworth's butt.
