Biography[]
Season 1[]
Confucius made his first appearance as a background character in the episode "Film Fest: Tears of a Clone", where he was one of the audience members at the Clone High Film Festival.
Season 2[]
Confucius was re-introduced in "Let's Try This Again", as one of the second generation clones. He was a public speaker at Unity Week, introducing the new clones to the "Walk a Mile in Someone Else's Shoes" activity. He later showed up at the thinking docks, where he usually goes to try and be a better thinker like his clonefather. There, Confucius gave Abe some bad advice, encouraging him to apologize for his past actions on FlipFlop. This led to Abe getting himself in more trouble and ultimately cancelled.
In "Sleepover", Confucius was the person to introduce JFK to the internet. Confucius also created JFK's FlipFlop account. The account created has the username "firechillbro" and has a giraffe with sunglasses as its profile picture.
In "Anxious Times at Clone High", Confucius went to wood shop class to hide from all his problems and he recorded a funny video of JFK accidentally nail-gunning himself in the crotch. Confucius later admitted in front of the Heebie Jeebie, that he tries to become popular on social media so that he can be accepted by his peers.
In "The Crown: Joancoming: It’s a Cleo, Cleo, Cleo, Cleo World", Confucius was completely ignored by Cleopatra, who didn't seem to know he even existed. He later helped Joan to steal her crown from her.
In "Some Talking but Mostly Songs", Confucius, along with Cleopatra, George Washington Carver, and Sacagawea, wanted to become famous uncredited background dancers in Harriet's upcoming play. "Twister: The Game: The Musical" but after failing to get the choreography, they decided they needed some "White Guy Confidence", so they stole some sweat from Abe Lincoln and started to act more white. This failed too and eventually, Frida pointed out to them that they just needed to practice more, which they did. After only practicing twice, the four of them performed on stage, the night of the play and did a mediocre job.
In "Spring Broken", Confucius went on a field trip to Arroyo Fest but when the school bus crashed, all of his phones were destroyed, depriving him of technology. It was also revealed that Confucius had an Instagram account called "definitelyahotguy69", which he was using to catfish Harriet Tubman. When Harriet found out about this, she fell in love with Confucius. At this time, Confucius' mom messaged him on FlipFlop that she and the rest of the family were going away for spring break and leaving him behind.
In "Sexy-Ed", Confucius prepared to reveal his identity to Harriet, by putting on a huge performance for her in the football field, where he sang a cover of "Close to You", which unfortunately went horribly wrong for him. This didn't matter too much to Harriet, who still appreciated the gesture and became his girlfriend. To celebrate their newfound relationship, Harriet and Confucius threw a party at Confucius' house, while his parents were away, still on spring break.
In "Clone Alone", Confucius and the other clones were tasked with participating in the Death Maze as their college aptitude test. Harriet was irritated with how Confucius didn't take getting into college seriously on account of him being rich, so she broke up with him. This left Confucius feeling heartbroken and depressed for the entire episode, before Harriet finally realized her mistake and apologized to him, helping them to reunite as a couple. At the end of the episode, Confucius, along with the rest of the clones, was nearly killed by Joan and sent to the bottom of the Death Maze to be brainwashed by the Memory Eraser Ray.
Season 3[]
In "Blinded With Pseudoscience: Magnetic Distractions", Confucius returned to Clone High High School for senior year and was still mad at Joan for nearly killing him. When the new teacher, Professor Hirsute, came in, he started teaching Confucius, Abe, and JFK conspiracy theories, which they all believed in. During this time, Confucius started eating magnets to make himself stick to metal walls. Confucius became Hirsute's star student for supporting his theory that gravity didn't exist and volunteered to jump off the school to prove it. Harriet had to save Confucius' life by using a magnet to repel Confucius from crash landing and killing himself.
In "Don't You Get It? Sports Are Huge in This Town", Confucius was on the Clone High Snorkeling Team.
In "Bible Humpers: A Much Needed Praycation", Confucius made some tie-dye shirts for Harriet, that said "I've Only Got Eyes For You", only to find out later that Harriet cheated on him by having eye-sex with Toussaint Louverture.
In "The Principal Principle: Sub Zero to Sub Hero", Confucius tried to prove his masculinity to Harriet, after he heard about how Harriet loved Toussaint for being a man, who had a falcon named Gideon. Confucius showed that he was a lot more manly than Toussaint, by bringing in a bear named Kevin. Confucius also forgave Joan for trying to kill him. At the end of the episode, it was also revealed that Confucius had a glorious six-pack of abs.
In "Money Can Buy Me Love: Stupid Is as Cupid Does", Confucius was now the big cheese at school, with all the girls fawning over him for his rock-hard abs. At this time, Confucius had broken up with Harriet and wanted to make her jealous by pretending to be Joan's boyfriend. In exchange, Confucius would give Joan money to go to a Film Festival. While the two pretended they were in love with each other, Confucius ended up actually falling in love with Joan and becoming her boyfriend.
Appearance[]
Confucius's has medium length black hair cut short on the sides with the top dyed to be sky blue. He wears a blue jacket and a pink top that gives his body a hemisphere shape. The bottom of his pink shirt is teal, which is possibly another shirt underneath. He's carrying a small, single strap fluorescent green backpack hung diagonally across his body with the bag portion across his chest and he wears black pants and white socks. His shoes have a white base with pink patterns and fluorescent green soles.
In "The Principal Principle: Sub Zero to Sub Hero", it was revealed that Confucius has a glorious six-pack of washboard abs and some buff, well-toned biceps under his big and puffy clothing.
Personality[]
Confucius' main and most noticeable characteristic is his love (and possible addiction) to social media, usually seen on his cell phone or using his cell phone to blog events. However, Confucius appears to have trouble making friends in real life as he admitted in Anxious Times at Clone High that despite his activeness on social media, his biggest stressor is wanting friendship in real life.
However, the new unfrozen clones seem to be a blessing for Confucius as he quickly bonds with three of the four returning main characters within the first four episodes of Season 2: Abe Lincoln in Let's Try This Again, JFK in Sleepover, and Joan of Arc in The Crown: Joancoming: It’s a Cleo, Cleo, Cleo, Cleo World. All three bonding experiences were during 1-on-1 hangouts that highlight Confucius' helpful nature, subtly reflecting traits of Confucius' clone father. In contrast to this, Cleopatra is shown in The Crown: Joancoming: It’s a Cleo, Cleo, Cleo, Cleo World to not care at all about Confucius; so little that she ignores his entire existence which is canonically accurate as she never interacts with Confucius prior to this episode. Confucius doesn't hide the fact that he is emotionally affected by Cleo's treatment as he comments on it throughout the episode.
Later episodes show that his foster family life is a neglectful one, as his rich parents show clear favoritism towards his sister and throw money at him as a replacement for parental and familial love and even tell him that they’re leaving for two weeks on a family vacation without him because they “want to have fun” in the comment section of his video stream. This is the most likely source of his loneliness and desperation for friends, both in everyday life and online, and well as leaving him deeply insecure on if he is even worthy of friendships or even romantic relationships.
Trivia[]
- Originally, Confucius was a first generation clone, who appeared as a background character in the episode "Film Fest: Tears of a Clone". This has since been retconned in the reboot, where he's been retooled into a second generation clone.
- Confucius being a social media influencer is a joke on how the original Confucius was literally an "influencer", as he is best known for how he greatly influenced Chinese culture, society, politics, religion, music, art, philosophy, etc.
- Confucius is about the same height as Abe Lincoln.
- Confucius' FlipFlop account is "ConfuciuSayzz421". The "421" is a drug reference, being one number higher than 420. He comments "Our glory is not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall.", an actual quote from his clonefather.
- Currently, Confucius is the only member of the second generation cast to sit at the thinking docks.
