Indigo was the pet cat of Jim Donnelly and Jill Marshall, two friends of Phil Lord and Christopher Miller. She played the role of Live-Action Cat from the episode "Raisin the Stakes: A Rock Opera in Three Acts".
Biography[]
Indigo was a rescue cat adopted by Jill Marshall in 2001, when she was 11 months old.
Sometime around 2001-2002, Jill was dating a guy named Jim Donnelly, who was friends with Clone High showrunners, Phil Lord and Christopher Miller. They agreed to have Phil and Chris come over and shoot some footage of their cat to use in a live-action segment of their show.
Phil and Chris used a feather-on-a-stick cat toy to get Indigo to do what they wanted her to do for the show. However, Indigo was being a bit of a diva on set and kept running around and hiding, refusing to cooperate. It took them about two hours before they finally got Indigo to do what they wanted, resulting in about 13-20 seconds of usable footage for the show.
On January 12th, 2003, the episode "Raisin the Stakes: A Rock Opera in Three Acts" premiered on television, which presented to the entire world, Indigo's acting debut, playing the role of a Live-Action Cat who ate Gandhi.
Indigo sadly passed away in 2016 and although she is gone, her legacy has been immortalized in her starring episode of Clone High.
