Cultural References[]
- The first half of the title is a pun on the phrase "Plain Crazy" and the second half of is based on the Charles Dickens book, "Great Expectations".
- Abe wears eight magazines worth of Drakkar Noir.
- Gandhi and JFK both compare the former to Bubba Sparxxx.
- Principal Scudworth's sideplot with Skunky-Poo is an homage to "Looney Tunes" cartoons.
- Gandhi met Sarah Michelle Gellar and got her autograph. Gandhi also apparently battled with cancer at the time as the autograph read "Hey, good luck slaying that cancer." This was in reference to the title of the show "Buffy the Vampire Slayer", wherein Sarah Gellar starred as the lead actor.
- One of the things Gandhi says during "UR A G Old Flag" is "Do the Bartman", a reference to the 1990 song by Bart Simpson, that was released during the height of The Simpsons' popularity.
Historical References[]
- The clone of Buddy Holly boarded an extremely crappy and poorly put together airplane, along with the clones of Ritchie Valens, J.P. Richardson (AKA "The Big Bopper"), Jim Croche, Stevie Ray Vaughn, and half of Lynyrd Skynrd. Abe Lincoln unwisely agreed to board the plane with him. This is a reference to an infamous plane crash that killed all of their clonefathers on February 3rd, 1959, unofficially known as "The Day the Music Died". This also included a number of other musicians, who died in avian accidents;
- Jim Croche, who died on a separate plane crash on September 20th, 1973.
- Stevie Ray Vaughn, who died in a helicopter crash on August 27th, 1990.
- Half of Lynyrd Skynyrd, referencing to a plane crash that killed Van Zant, Steve Gaines, and Cassie Gaines on October 10th, 1977.
